The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
